Wharfedale 2180 and 2130

The 2180 and 2130 were loudspeakers manufactured by the Wharfedale Corporation, and part of their 2000 series range. The concept of the design was to have non-obtrusive speakers that could be installed almost anywhere and even hidden. In order to achieve this type of design, Wharfedale had to be very innovative where in the case of the 2130, they had to use a separate bass unit. The 2180 was a moderate specification speaker with dimensions 274 mm × 465 mm × 200 mm, frequency response 40 Hz to 22 kHz, and 90 dB sensitivity. Its power handling capability was 100-watts.

The 2130 consisted of the sub-bass unit with dimensions 206 mm × 321 mm × 501 mm, whilst the satellite speaker dimensions were 135 mm × 222 mm × 109 mm. The total power handling capacity of the system was 80-watts.
